After watching Squid Game I decided to remake the logo animation by using a combination of trim paths, easing, and RGB distortion in After Effects.
After doing so I decided to translate what I learned from the remake into a recreation of the logo with a new Korean phrase borrowed from one of my favorite YouTubers, Stephanie Soo.
They were both uploaded to YouTube to test the platform's algorithm and hashtag system. The remake was uploaded as a YouTube Short and the recreation was uploaded as a standard video.
The remake video was able to garner only 1,000 views within its first month from organic growth and currently has 2,000+ views.
The recreation video was able to garner 10,000+ views within its month from organic growth and currently has 15,000+ views.
From these two uploads, subscribers increased by 400%.
